Why Community Matters (from founders who raised $447 million)
Tyler Denk, Andrew Yeung, Sam Corcos and more chime in
Hey y’all — can you build a successful startup without engaging your community/network?
Maybe, but you’ll be playing on hard mode.
This week I went back to some recent convos I’ve had with:
Founder | Startup | Full Convo |
---|---|---|
And it was interesting — all of them talked about how to authentically work with or build for the natural community around you and your product.
This got me thinking about my own journey founding and growing Launch House from a coliving experiment in Tulum to a beloved brand (someone got a tattoo of our logo), raising millions from a16z, and growing it to $4 million in revenue.
All of that happened because we focused on community from day 1.
So this week’s deep dive is a hybrid issue — we created a YouTube video out of snippets from those recent convos, and me talking about the Launch House journey in between, to share how to engage the people around you most effectively.
